Exploration Continues: Changes in Format

In order to properly prepare my work to go to the editors, I've decided that I can't wait for everyone to get back to me. Thanks for the submissions that those of you have sent. I am reviewing them and I apologize for any delay in response. I will let you know if I have accepted your character submission and permission to use it in the book.

Unfortunately there are still some people that I have prepared sub-plots for but I need them to contact me ASAP to get in the book. So far, the people that have not come out of the woodwork: Firemane, rod, Amo, Lord Gatekeeper, Ramy, Bishop and Bowman.

I am going to set a deadline for June 1st. If I have not at least received an email from you I will have to omit the chapter parts where your character has a cameo.

Part of the interesting challenge of writing this book is the amount of chapters that I have to manage. There are well over the original 32 that I had planned but I am being talked into bringing it down to 24. The rest of the chapters can be made into a sequel. At least, I like the idea, I'm not necessarily down with it. I want the first installment to be a digest, as much as I can. There are some plans for sequels, but I am still concerned with the first book being a good one.

Merchant Wars: The Book Previews

Hey everyone, I'm sending out a call to all those folks that once were players of HSpace: Merchant Wars back in the day. I need to ask for some of your permission to use your player names in my story. If not, I will have to omit your parts of the story. I've had Merchant Wars: The Book, in its 2nd Draft stage for almost a year now, and it sucks to not have the ability to move the story forward. There are some people I'm going to go ahead and write about, because I think they wouldn't mind, but I would love to have permission from some of the following players:

Amo, Bowman, Firemane, Bishop, Ramy, rod, Lord Gatekeeper, Freestyler. Anyone else who wants to be in the book has to send me a funny story about something that happened to them on Merchant Wars. Then I can maybe find a spot to fit you in the storyline.

I am giving you now one month to get back to me, and then I'm going to have to complete a 3rd draft that will not include the players mentioned above. If you can get back to me in time I can send you preview excerpts of the parts of the book that I want your character to be in.

At the moment I am technically 250 pages over my mark for the book. I intended on their being around 16 chapters but I've grossed about 34! Some of these chapters are 50-60p ages long while others shorter. This has been a lot of work, but I am really proud of what I've been able to achieve since I started writing this story.

Merchant Wars: The Book Delayed

I have alerted those who've already pre-ordered their copy of Merchant Wars: The Book that I am delaying the release of the book for after the completion of the development of Merchant Wars 2009 (AKA, HSpace: Merchant Wars the 6th Incarnation). In order to coincide the release of the book with the opening of the game I've decided to delay the pre-orders until a later date that will be released here.
